Meet Nigel. Nigel is a BIG and LONG 3-year old tuxedo weighing in at 18lbs. He is quite lovable (though shy with strangers) and loves to be petted—on his terms. Nigel came from a home with way too many cats and not enough attention, and his foster mom has been making up for Nigel's childhood by showering him with all the affection he never got. He loves to sit on a climbing structure and watch birds for hours, but he he also likes to play. While he does not seem to like other kitties, he doesn't have a aggressive bone in his body.. Nigel would be great as an only cat for an experienced adult owner. His foster mom says he makes a great companion watching TV. Football anyone? View full description »
Andrew was never handled or touched as a little fellow, and grew up very shy and afraid of people. Andrew is a little cautious now but does not have a mean bone in his big (13lbs!) body. He absolutely lives to play with a wand toy, and has never met a treat he didn't like. Once you’re able to pet him, he does really well.. Although Drew has had limited exposure in his foster home to other cats, he appears to enjoy them. He needs an experienced and patient guardian, and could go to an adult home by himself or with another (large) kitty who is looking for a playmate. It will take Andrew time to transition to new surroundings, but his foster family feels he has the potential to blossom in a quiet home that will give him the time, space and understanding he needs. Meet Bruce. Bruce has that orange-cat energy working for him--he's super friendly, loves people, and is playful. He is pretty much the perfect cat, especially if you want a lap cat. Any family who ended up with Bruce would be very lucky indeed. Bruce was something else interesting about him besides his orangeness: he's diabetic. But he doesn't let that get him down one little bit. He requires insulin shots twice a day, but they don't bother him at all. His foster mom puts food down in front of him, and since he is an enthusiastic foodie, he doesn't even react when he gets the insulin shot. Easy peasy. His insulin administration takes only a couple of minutes a day, and it's a small price to pay for having such a wonderful loving creature as part of your family. Are you willing to give Bruce a chance? We know if you meet him, you will love him, and he could finally get the forever family he has dreamed of. View full description »
Hi, my name is Grady, and I'm glad you stopped by to say hello. Many will see that I'm a senior cat and will just keep scrolling, but I think I'm worth a moment of your time. So many people want kittens and young cats, and I understand that. But allow me to tell you what a treasure a senior cat like myself can be. We seniors are calm; we've lived through a lot, and we know that as fun as kitten energy can be, having a trustworthy companion who isn't going to jump on your head in the middle of the night and wake you up is really nice. We are wise, and we are good listeners, so tell us your problems and we will give you our undivided attention. While my younger compatriots might love running around after an animal on a stick, I'm happy to jump in your lap and ask for pets. I have learned the value of things over the years, and I know nothing is more precious than having a family who opens their arms and their hearts to you, especially if I get to be the only pet in the house. So why not take a chance on me and discover how a loving, gentle, friendly senior cat can really change your life. I know I'm hoping you will change mine. View full description »
Go team go! Let's hear it for the Team Boston kitties. Bruin, Celtic, Pat, Rev, and Sox are on the field and they are ready to earn some points--and a forever home. These kitten cuties have spirit for sure, and they dream of a day when their team scores a family that adores them. The Team Boston kitties are a little shy, and should only go with an experienced adopter who is willing to coach them to become the best versions of themselves. They would also do well in a family without young children. Are you willing to root for the home team and fall in love with these kittens? Bringing these little players home would surely be a win. You might be the human Diamond has always dreamed of. View full description »
Best friends. BFF's. Besties. Sister from another Mister. However you say it, Wista and Pretty Girl are quite the pair, and are in it together for the long haul. They love to play, and their foster mom hears them tearing around their room every night after she goes to bed. Pretty Girl is also greatly entertained by watching videos on an IPad. Wista is special needs because she has a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a benign condition that causes her to shake, but she never lets that get in her way of having a good time. Because of the CH, Wista would fare best in a house that doesn't have steps. These sweet girls love to sit next to you and hang out; although they don't sit in your lap, they like pets and enjoy spending time with their foster mom. Wista and Pretty Girl would thrive with experienced adopters in a home without young kids. They will be shy at first, but are worth the effort to draw them out. Can you make room in your house and in your heart for these two beautiful friends? They are worth it. View full description »
