Meet the Cats

Nicole is a quiet little girl only 7 months old-- and while she is shy initially, she will warm up and melt into your arms once she gets to know you, and when she knows she is safe. She is in a foster home with other kitties, but they are all much bigger than she is-- so she feels a bit overwhelmed by it all. Her foster mom says she will sometimes ask to be picked up and then just snuggles in and purrs up a storm. She will also spend time watching KITTY TV on the IPad. Too Cute! We think Nicole will do well in a home with perhaps another young kitten, or a passive friendly young cat. Probably best without little kids- older ones would be fine if they know how to be quiet around a nervous new kitty! She will grow into a gorgeous shiny little grey /blue princess! Kickstand was found on the streets with a broken leg that had already mostly healed. She has grown up purr-fectly, and is a gorgeous little 9 month old girl who loves to be loved. She is happy, a bit of a loner, but will jump up and sit next to her foster mom, and sometimes climb on her lap for a snuggle. She is happy to entertain herself, and seems to be just as content playing with a toy and running around as she is curled up in her bowl shaped cat scratcher. She is okay with the other kitties in her foster care situation, but would be okay as a single kitty as well. She will entertain you and be your pal after she adjusts to YOUR house! Guayo is a fun loving happy boy, likely about 3 years old. He came to us thru another rescue group who got her from Puerto Rico! (he is bi-lingual). He is always happy to play with people or other kitties, and is a sweet guy. He will ask for attention by climbing right up on you and pushing his face into yours- even kissing you on the mouth if you aren't speedy in you petting him. It's adorable. He is about a 10 pound boy- so a great size, and his demeanor is fantastic. He is gentle with his humans, and loves to wrestle with his other foster kitty pals (he especially likes Jangle- they hang out together play and cuddle a LOT). Nigel (who has more black and is a true tuxedo) is Andrew's dad. Nigel is about 3 years old, while the shier son is just 1 1/2 yrs. Both are B I G and L O N G kitties, and have non-aggressive personalities. They came from a home with way way too many cats- thus Andrew- no called Drewsy by his foster family-was never handled or touched as a little fellow, and grew up very shy and a bit afraid of people. Nigel is quite lovable, and likes to be pet - on his terms, or course, he is a cat after all- and is pretty happy to be on his own up on a climbing structure or in a windowsill watching the birds go by. He likes and plays with Drewsy, but not other kitty's. He would be fine as an only kitty for an experienced cat owner. Drewsy is a cautious fellow- not a mean bone is his big body- but he is quite happy to play with his humans with a wand toy and come for treats. Once you get petting him, he does enjoys it. He likes playing with his dad and with other cats. He doesn't realize he is big, and that he SHOULD be braver! He for-sure needs an experienced cat owner, but could go to a home with another kitty that is looking for a playmate. he'd be a good project for a teenager who needs a pal and is willing to help a shy guy out. These fellows can either go to a home together, or separate as described above. It should be an adult home with cat experience- not with small kids. They are healthy and beautiful guys- and need an opportunity to blossom in a home that is not a foster home (or a hoarder home!!) Oscar the Grouch. Archie Bunker. Eeyore. What do all these characters have in common? They are all lovable grumps. Panda is a handsome Siamese boy who has reasons to be a little grumpy. He was brought to Massachusetts from Puerto Rico, where he had much needed eye surgery, plus ear care and a dental. Now that he is no longer in pain, it's time for this grumpy boy to find a forever home. He likes to play and is a big fan of his meals, and he enjoys being petted. He's not aggressive, just a little shy. Panda would do well in a home with experienced adopters who are willing to work with him to bring out his sweet side, and a house without kids would be ideal. Best friends. BFF's. Besties. Sister from another Mister. However you say it, Wista and Pretty Girl are quite the pair, and are in it together for the long haul. They love to play, and their foster mom hears them tearing around their room every night after she goes to bed. Pretty Girl is also greatly entertained by watching videos on an IPad. Wista is special needs because she has a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a benign condition that causes her to shake, but she never lets that get in her way of having a good time. Because of the CH, Wista would fare best in a house that doesn't have steps. These sweet girls love to sit next to you and hang out; although they don't sit in your lap, they like pets and enjoy spending time with their foster mom. Wista and Pretty Girl would thrive with experienced adopters in a home without young kids. They will be shy at first, but are worth the effort to draw them out.
